We help African leaders build sustainable impact through rhythms that protect the leader and multiply the work.
The Leadership Heartbeat
The Leadership Heartbeat is a rhythm-based methodology refined over a decade of work with leaders across Africa. It rests on four rhythms — each operating at a different time horizon. Together, they create the conditions for sustainable impact.
Presence before performance. Morning Grounding (15–30 min) and Evening Integration (15 min). Leaders who respond rather than react — and end the day complete instead of carrying it home.
Oscillation, not constant output. OUTPUT days (delivery, meetings, engagement) and INPUT days (strategy, learning, recovery). Most leaders skip input time and call themselves productive. They are leaking quality without knowing it.
Reflect. Recalibrate. Recommit. Every ninety days, a half-day minimum to do the 3R work. The pause that keeps strategy honest before burnout forces a correction.
Deep rest for deep impact. Two to four weeks of complete disengagement, made possible by a team built to function without you. The land that never rests produces increasingly poor harvests.
What powers the rhythm
Love. Faith.
Hope.
The four rhythms give the methodology its structure. Three foundational laws give it its substance. Without rhythm, conviction burns out. Without conviction, rhythm becomes mechanical. The Leadership Heartbeat is what happens when both are held together.

The founders
Silas started Lead from the Heart in 2013 after watching too many gifted leaders burn out chasing impact. Twelve years in, he's still convinced of the same thing: the world doesn't need another leadership consultancy built on inflated claims. It needs leaders who sustain the work — and who are honest about the journey. Through corporate retreats, Vision Quest, and executive coaching, he walks with leaders learning to lead from rhythm rather than grind. Alongside his own work, he and Vivian share a joint calling — two holding hands going into nations. Whole Leader Institute is where that calling meets leadership, shaped for executive couples.

Vivian carries a calling for inner healing and family restoration across Africa. A prophetic worshiper, intercessor, and Sozo-trained practitioner, she walks with people navigating the hidden weight they carry — identity, healing, and the work of becoming whole. Through Thriving Circle, she leads a community of practice for those learning to live whole, across the full family lifecycle. Alongside her own work, she and Silas share a joint calling — two holding hands going into nations. Whole Leader Institute is where that calling meets leadership, shaped for executive couples.
